Special Events
Join us throughout the week for special events as we gather in unity, embracing the spirit of the season. Welcome to a season of shared joy and anticipation!
During the Advent Season, please join us for a noon Chapel Service on Wednesdays, December 3, 10, and 17 followed by a light lunch in the Great Hall. The menu will be Soup and Sandwich provided by Kim's kitchen. The weekly reservation deadline is Tuesday at 12 pm.
Join us on Saturday, December 6 for an IPC Advent tradition—Advent Workshop! Come and go from 9 am to 12 pm. Christmas PJs are encouraged while we enjoy snacks, fellowship, Advent crafts and more!
Join us during the Sunday School hour for Dr. Jeff Leonard's special Advent program titled "Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus."
All children grades K5-6th are invited to sing in the Children’s Nativity Choir on December 24 at our Family Nativity Service. Rehearsals are Dec 7, 14 &21 during the 11 am service. Kids can follow the acolyte out to rehearse with Miss Beth. Rehearsals will be in Room 113. Parents can pick up after the service.
The annual IPC Choir Christmas Concert will take place December 7 at 6 pm. Accompanied by 10 members of the Alabama Symphony string section, the program will include congregational hymns, choral anthems, and orchestral music of the Christmas season by composers including Jonathan Dove, Hugo Distler, Ola Gjeilo, William Bradley Roberts, and will end with the beautiful Ave Maria by Franz Biebl. Soloists will include Janet Ort, Jane Stump, and Willian Perira da Silva.
