HERO Scholarship Fund

About the Scholarship

The mission of Independent Presbyterian Church has deep roots in providing ministry of community service. The IPC Foundation and various funds have been established through the generosity of donors to support these endeavors on a perpetual basis.

In keeping with that mission, an IPC family displayed an interest in making a significant effort toward tying the mission of the IPC Day School to the overall mission of the Independent Presbyterian Church. Throughout the years community services have been provided by various programs and ministries of the church, and now more than ever, the Day School has been given the blessing of participating in community service in a profound way.

In the community, the IPC Day School has been revered as a place providing high-quality preschool education and a nurturing environment for countless children.  Schools with such a reputation can seem out of reach for those in the community with limited resources.

Through a generous grant awarded to IPC Day School by The Estelle S. Campbell Charitable Foundation, the HERO (Providing Hope, Education, Reliability, and Opportunity) Scholarship Fund was established in the IPC Foundation. Initial applicants and recipients of scholarships have been in relationship with IPC through either the STAIR and/or Children’s Fresh Air Farm. Since the start, the HERO Scholarship program has made a profoundly positive impact on the lives of the children and family recipients, the Day School teachers and staff, as well as the other children and families involved in the Day School.

The HERO Fund is one of the Funds of the Independent Presbyterian Church Foundation. Gifts can be made in memory of or in honor of any individual.
