Our Response to Covid-19

IPC COVID-19 Update | Dec. 23

Christmas Greetings! IPC is planning our traditional Christmas Eve offerings with a nativity service at Noon for children and families and our Service of Nine Lessons & Carols at 4 pm and 6 pm.

As a reminder, there are streaming options for Christmas Eve worship services. You can access the Noon and 4 pm services via livestream on IPC’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Additionally, replays of the Noon and 4 pm services will be immediately available, allowing you to view the services on demand after the live broadcast.

Positive cases of COVID-19 are unfortunately starting to climb again, and the Omicron variant is now in Alabama. The result could be a new surge of cases coming our way, which we all need to take seriously.

It is likely that our Christmas Eve services will be crowded, and in the coming weeks, the virus may get worse. For your safety and the safety of those around you:

  • Masks are strongly recommended for those who plan to attend worship services on Friday and in the weeks after that.
  • If you've not been vaccinated, please do so.
  • If you are unvaccinated or have not received a booster, you may want to consider staying home.
  • Worship with IPC online. You are invited to join your IPC family through our virtual worship services.

In this holiday season, continued prayers are with those on the front lines of the pandemic and for the health and safety of our congregation and staff.
