I wanted to share with you a recent encounter I had with a friend of the church. Kate has been coming to pray in our sanctuary because it reminds her of churches "back home."
She is from Russia, but now Kate lives in Birmingham and enjoys walking the neighborhood each day. She came to the Community Ministries area yesterday with a bag of fresh baked bread that she made earlier in the day. Kate wanted to share with our Blessing Box ministry because she sees the impact our church can have on someone wanting to feel at home. What a beautiful testimony of this church's ministry to our community and this community's ministry to us at IPC!
