Since 1965, over 180 artists representing the finest talent from the United States and Europe have performed for the November Organ Recital Series at IPC. The recitals will take place each Sunday in November, and all programs begin at 4 p.m. and are free as a gift to the community.
We will celebrate "Christ the King" with our annual hymn festival on Sunday, November 24! This special festival of scripture and song marks the last Sunday of the Christian Year and will take place in the sanctuary with services at 8:45 and 11:00 am. This year, we will present some new settings of well-known hymns featuring a brass quintet, timpani, flute, classical guitar, and choir. Children will participate in the 11:00 am service in the Sanctuary to celebrate the end of Kids Rock for the fall. This will be a perfect time to warm up your vocal cords and sing the beautiful hymns of our church together!
IPC Youth Friendsgiving is a potluck style dinner for all current youth (7th-12th grade), and this year we warmly invite all IPC Youth Alums as well as college students. We will meet from 5 to 6:30 on November 24 in Highland Hall for dinner, activities, and fellowship. We ask that everyone bring a side dish or dessert—we will provide the main dish.
Indian River fruit will be sold by the choir again this year. This is an important fundraiser for the IPC Choir, and we encourage all members to participate! All proceeds will go toward future IPC Choir trips. You also have the opportunity to donate fruit directly to IPC Community Ministries for distribution to the Blessing Boxes and/or food insecurity programs of greatest need. Online order form coming soon!
Mark your calendar to join us in January for a three-week travel photography class led by IPC member and world-class photographer Virginia Jones. This class is designed for photographers with any level of expertise, whether using DSLR cameras or iPhones. The informative, inspiring, and fun class will be held for three consecutive Wednesdays in the new year. Dates to be announced.
Harvest for Hunger Campaign
Join us for IPC's Annual Harvest for Hunger campaign to help fill our neighbor's table and lift up our community. Starting Sunday, October 20, you can pick up a Harvest for Hunger grocery bag at IPC. The list of food and hygiene items (our most needed items) is printed on the bag and will also be available on the website. Please return your filled bags by Sunday, November 24, which is Harvest for Hunger Dedication Day.
IPC Youth Cookbook Sales
These cookbooks were crafted from recipes submitted by the IPC congregation! We hope you enjoy good food with good people gathered around the table. For your convenience, cookbooks can be picked up or purchased at the reception desk during the week, in addition to online and Sunday sales in the parlor.
Each cookbook is $25, and the proceeds help support scholarships for IPC Youth trips and retreats.
Tutor with Stair 3.0
STAIR 3.0 is an incredible program that continues to yield amazing results! This bi-weekly program offers one-on-one tutoring sessions to 3rd-graders at Hayes K-8 to help improve their literacy skills. In the fall, we will seek volunteers for Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm. You can sign up for either day or both days.
If you're looking to make a difference in a child's life, consider signing up for STAIR 3.0. Students genuinely look forward to these encounters, and word is spreading—more children are clamoring to know more about this empowering experience! For further information, please contact Becky Wright, Children’s Fresh Air Farm Director.
Angel Tree
Help spread Christmas cheer for Children's Fresh Air Farm Summer Learning students by selecting an Angel Tree student or family! Students are grouped with siblings in the same household who also attend Hayes, so you are able to select an individual child or all children in a household. All Gifts Due: Monday, December 9. Please bring unwrapped gifts and a roll of wrapping paper to IPC, room #217 labeled with the child's name and code (e.g., Child 1a: NAME)
