Music & Fine Arts

Welcome

The breath of God has infused the human mind and inspired artists through the ages. We experience God though all our senses.

Independent Presbyterian Church has played a significant role in music and the arts in Birmingham. The November Organ Recital Series began in 1965 and is one of the longest running organ series in the nation. Both the organ recital and annual Religious Arts Festivals bring world-class artists to the area. Since the first Christmas Concert in 1964, the IPC Choir has presented more than 175 concerts and special services locally and around the world.

All of these free, public events are funded through endowments and the yearly operating budget of the church. Please join us and experience God in new ways through the arts.

Join us as we celebrate Christ the King Sunday with our annual hymn festival, a joyful service of scripture and song marking the close of the Christian year. During the 8:45 and 11 am worship services, we will dedicate the gifts collected through our Harvest for Hunger campaign, celebrating the generosity of our congregation and the many ways we serve our neighbors in need. Children will participate in the 11 am service with the Call to Worship as we also celebrate the end of Kids Rock for the fall. Come and share in this uplifting morning of music, gratitude, and praise.

The annual fruit sale is going on now! Orders are accepted from now until November 30. This is an important fundraiser for the IPC Choir, and we encourage all members to participate.
