STAIR 3.0 officially kicked off in October of 2023 and moved back to the Hayes K-8's campus to meet the need for quality after-school programming rooted in the love of Christ. As part of expanded year-round programming for the Children's Fresh Air Farm, a team of dedicated tutors from IPC join forces with Hayes K-8 staff to provide a dynamic bi-weekly 1:1 tutoring program for 3rd-grade students.
Each Tuesday and Wednesday, a group of devoted volunteers travels to Hayes K-8, armed with a passion for nurturing the literacy skills of these young minds. Each semester the commitment of our volunteers translates into a remarkable 16 hours of personalized literacy tutoring tailored for each student. However, the impact extends beyond the academic realm. Since the inception of STAIR 3.0, a palpable sense of excitement fills the air each day. Students genuinely look forward to these encounters, and word is spreading—more children are clamoring to know more about this empowering experience!
