Children's Christian Education

Sunday Classes and Nursery Care

A loving and nurturing environment is provided at IPC for children and their families to learn and grow in their faith and to become active participants in the church community.

The Children's Ministry at IPC includes all children from 6 weeks of age through sixth grade. Listed below is an overview of the classes and events available for children at IPC.

Nursery/Worship Care

  • When: Sundays, 8:30 am - 12:15 pm
    Where: Room G21 for infants (8:30 am- 12 pm), Room G25 for toddlers (8:30- 9:45 am), Room G08 for two-year-olds through five-year-olds (11 am- 12 pm)

    Also available Sundays from 4:30 pm until after 5 pm The Table service in Highland Hall.


  • Two Year Old Sunday School

    Description: Learn about biblical stories from Wee Children at Church PC(USA) curriculum in age-appropriate ways to learn about the love and grace of God.
    When: Sundays, 10- 10:50 am

  • Description: Pray, sing, and share scripture using a Montessori (or hands-on) approach to exploring and learning about the Presbyterian Faith. Level I lays foundation for building a relationship with God; Level II focuses on living in Christ's love. Level III builds on this foundation of love as we explore how God calls us to be in a relationship with him.
    When: Sundays 10- 10:50 am
    Where: Room 109 for 3-year-olds - 5K, Room 108 for 1st- 3rd Grade, Room 107 for 4th- 6th Grade

Wednesday Nights (September- March)

  • Description: Learn and practice living in the community of God for kindergarten and elementary children.
    When: Wednesdays, 6:15- 7:15 pm

  • Description: All children are invited to sing in spring musical.
    When: Wednesdays starting January 9, 5:45- 7:15 pm. Performance is Sunday, March 15.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

  • Description: Come to know God's love over four days through arts, games and songs and daily worship. Open to children who have completed 3K- 5K. Registration required.

Bible Times Marketplace (BTMP)

  • Description: Learn about "Jacob's Story," "Moses," "The Adventures of David," "Stories of Jesus," or "Journey with Paul." Join a "tribe" and talk about stories related to theme, as well as participate in crafts, outdoor chapel, swimming, singing and drama for a week. Open to campers who have completed grades 1-5 and to tribal assistants who have completed grades 6-12. Meet and greet with parents Friday afternoon

Volunteer Screening Form

Each IPC volunteer who works with IPC children and youth must complete the following Volunteer Screening form. It allows a criminal background check to ensure the church provides protective care for all our children and youth.
