Impact of Hurricane Helene

Join IPC to provide support for individuals and communities affected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene.

Birmingham-Area Supply Drive

IPC is serving as a collection point for a community-wide supply drive with Christian Service Mission (CSM). The following items can be dropped off at Community Ministries (31st Street entrance) this week, Monday, Oct. 7, through Thursday, Oct. 10, from 8:30 am to 3 pm each day.

Items accepted: 

  • Bottled water 
  • Cleaning supplies 
  • Toilet paper 
  • Paper towels 
  • Batteries for flashlights 
  • Flathead shovels 
  • Heavy-duty garden rakes 
  • Heavy-duty garbage bags 
  • Diapers in both adult and child sizes
  • First aid supplies 
  • Work gloves 
  • For children: stuffed animals, dolls, board games, and other toys
    *NO CLOTHING will be accepted.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance 

IPC is gathering financial contributions to send to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). Additionally, the IPC Foundation has pledged $15,000 to aid in PDA's disaster relief efforts. 

If you wish to donate towards hurricane relief, you can give directly through PDA online here, or text HELENE24 to 41444. Additionally, you can write a check to IPC with "Hurricane Relief" in the memo line. Checks can be mailed to IPC (Attn: Finance Office at 3100 Highland Avenue S., Birmingham, AL 35205) or placed in the offering plate this Sunday. 

Montreat’s Restoration Fund

Montreat Conference Center expresses gratitude for the support received following the damaging effects of Hurricane Helene. While the scope of the work ahead is not yet known, there is significant damage to much of the campus. Each gift will be used to directly repair and restore the campus. Donate here
