This Sunday, Sept. 12, will be my first day preaching at IPC. It is hard to believe that four months have passed since I was called to be your Pastor. For me, it has been kind of like waiting for Christmas Day to arrive when I was a kid. It always seemed like it was never going to get here, and then suddenly, my brothers and I were waking up with great anticipation to all the wonderful surprises that were strewn about our family room. And right now, I kind of feel like this Sunday is Christmas in September —as I get the great privilege of preaching to our new church family and begin to unwrap all the wonderful surprises that God has in store for our family at IPC. But just to really confuse everyone, I’ll be preaching on the story of the resurrection from Matthew 28 in all three services. So it will be Christmas AND Easter in September!

I can’t wait to get to know all of you and discover what God has been doing in your lives. If you haven’t been to church in a while, what better time to come back? This is also a great opportunity to invite some friends or church members you haven’t seen in a while. We have all been apart for so much of this past year and a half. We need to start coming together again and living as a church family. I believe that the risen Savior is up to something big at IPC. I hope you’ll come and be a part of it.
