The Rev. Susan Clayton joined the staff at IPC in July of 2001 as Associate Pastor for Community Ministries, focusing her work in the areas of IPC's local and global missions.

Susan is a native of Birmingham, AL where she was a graduate of Mountain Brook High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 1984 and her Master of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School in New Haven, CT in 1988. She was ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the PCUSA in 1988 and since her ordination she has served as a hospital chaplain, a pastoral counselor and as Pastor or Associate Pastor in three churches in our Presbytery, most recently serving as Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Birmingham immediately prior to joining our pastoral staff at IPC.
