This year’s stewardship opportunity, Together as One, accurately reflects the experiences my family and I have enjoyed as a part of this church community for the last 40 years. Together we have enjoyed with you new opportunities to serve Christ through worship, fellowship and community outreach all while preserving our rich church history of open eyes and hearts to an ever-changing world filled with needs and opportunities.

Your acts of kindness, caring, recognizing needs, and acting on them have continued to instill in the members of our congregation reflective moments of humbled pride in our ministry to others while continuing to grow and share God’s light and hope to the world.

This year’s theme invites us to share our mutual joy of serving Christ through our words and actions. It is this unity of faith and unity of action that empowers us to work together to deepen our connection with our church and yes, our obligation to share our time, talent and treasure with others.

For a moment let us all pause and reflect on all that has been accomplished through our church over the time you have been a part of this ministry. The visions of those who came before us have served this church well. Now, take a moment and imagine what we as a united church can do together. These current visions can become reality but only through our faithful stewardship.

As we look ahead to 2027, if you already give faithfully to this church, would you consider a generous increase to your pledge? If you have never pledged before, let this be the year you begin, whatever the size of that gift may be. Together as one, may we strive for full and faithful participation from every member of our congregation. We ask that you return your pledge by Thanksgiving, so that our church may plan wisely for all God is calling us to do together.
