Time moves quickly, and each season of the church’s life brings new blessings, ministries, and challenges. Over the decades, IPC has faithfully navigated changes in the world around us—responding to the needs of the congregation, embracing opportunities for growth, and answering Christ’s call to serve. Through it all, one thing remains constant: the generosity and inspired vision of those who invest in the future of the church.
For 110 years, IPC has been a place of worship, learning, and outreach. For 53 of those years, the IPC Foundation has been able to support this mission, aligning with the dreams of our predecessors for a better world. Their faith and foresight have made it possible for IPC to serve in ways they could scarcely have imagined, and today, we are the stewards of that enduring legacy.
IPC Now and Forever Campaign
Now, imagine you are a pioneer of tomorrow. How will you change the future for today’s generation? It is in that spirit that I am pleased to introduce the IPC Now and Forever Campaign—a legacy giving opportunity that allows you to leave a gift through your estate to the Foundation, ensuring that IPC can continue its God-given work. Just as previous generations paved the way for us, we now have the opportunity to do the same for those who will follow.
Some may ask: Why now? Will my gift make a real difference? Now is the time because each legacy gift will play a crucial role in sustaining IPC’s ministries. Currently, 66% of Named Fund endowments support Outreach, leaving $325,000 annually to support internal ministries. With 82% of pledge gifts coming from members aged 60 and older, legacy gifts will be vital for the church’s ongoing vitality. Growing the unrestricted, or Greatest Needs, funds is a top priority. This campaign will help ensure that IPC can meet the needs of its members, ministries, and facilities, both today and in the years ahead. As the campaign unfolds in the coming months, I encourage you to ask questions about how you can make a difference. There are many opportunities to serve Christ’s needs. Session has identified the following giving areas to support IPC’s mission: Greatest Needs, Congregational Care, Discipleship, Outreach, and Worship and Music.
2024 IPC Foundation Annual Report
2024 was a year of significant achievements for the Foundation. We welcomed Margaret Lane Hollingsworth as Grants Manager. Many of you may recognize Margaret Lane through her work with adult ministries and communication. We also made a meaningful decision to recognize First Light, Kirkwood, Living River, and STAIR as strategic mission partners. As a result, the grants committee will offer these organizations funding opportunities for up to three years, beginning in 2025, to help them sustain and expand their vital work in our community.
I want to thank the Board and committee members for navigating each year with care and purpose, ensuring that every gift makes a meaningful difference. As we look to the future, I am grateful for the continued generosity and faithfulness of this congregation. Your commitment to IPC, its ministries, and its future ensures that we will remain a beacon of Christ’s love for generations to come.
