Hurricane Disaster Relief

Three ways you can help to provide much-needed aid and relief to the impacted communities

Your support can make a significant difference for those who have been affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

Birmingham-area supply drive extended

IPC will continue to serve as a collection point for a community-wide supply drive with Christian Service Mission (CSM). The following items can be dropped off at Community Ministries (ground floor) through Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 8:30 am to 3 pm each day. Donations made starting Monday will be primarily directed to those in need in Florida.

Items accepted:

  • Cleaning supplies
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels
  • Batteries for flashlights
  • Flathead shovels
  • Heavy-duty garden rakes
  • Heavy-duty garbage bags
  • Diapers in both adult and child sizes
  • First aid supplies
  • Work gloves
  • For children: stuffed animals, dolls, board games, and other toys
    *NO CLOTHING will be accepted.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance continues

IPC is gathering financial contributions to send to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). Additionally, the IPC Foundation has pledged $15,000 to aid in PDA's disaster relief efforts.

If you wish to donate towards hurricane relief, you can give directly through PDA online here. Additionally, you can write a check to IPC with "Hurricane Relief" in the memo line. Checks can be mailed to IPC (Attn: Finance Office at 3100 Highland Avenue S., Birmingham, AL 35205) or placed in the offering plate this Sunday.

Your gifts to PDA will enable the PC(U.S.A.) to support all congregations and communities affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

Montreat’s Restoration Fund in action

Montreat Conference Center expresses gratitude for the support received following the damaging effects of Hurricane Helene. While the scope of the work ahead is not yet known, there is significant damage to much of the campus. Each gift will be used to directly repair and restore the campus. Donate here
