Living in the Way of Love

Developing a closer relationship with God shouldn’t be intimidating. It can begin with reading a Bible passage or a devotion each day. It only takes a few minutes. Perhaps you can find that time in the morning as you rise, right before bed, or during those unexpected times in the day when you have a free moment or two. If you aren’t sure where to start, pick up IPC’s 2020 Bible Reading Guide or attend next weekend’s Presbyterian Women’s Retreat (Sorry, men. Ladies only)

The IPC daily Bible reading guide for 2020 is out. You can pick up a copy from my office, the reception desk
or the Narthex. You can also click here for a copy.

The Presbyterian Women’s Retreat is next weekend. On Friday, January 24, all women of the church are invited to the Clubhouse on Highland for painting, wine and dinner. You will be guided through the creation of an art piece tied to Rev. Mary Bea Sullivan’s message of living in the way of love through kindness, sharing our gifts, listening and comfort. Rev. Sullivan of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will lead the session on Saturday, January 25. All participants will get a copy of her devotional book, “Living in the Way of Love.” The book will take you through 40-days of practices to help you prepare your heart for a Holy Lent. The book is beautiful and small enough to carry around for those unexpected quiet moments. There will also be music from Shaun Pezant, the artist in residence at St. Lukes.  This is going to be a fun opportunity for fellowship and spiritual growth! I encourage you to attend.

See you Sunday!
