As we enter in the final weeks of Lent, seek Jesus. Don’t simply look for him in your life. But strive to understand Him. To help you do so, I urge you to please make every effort to attend worship over the next few weeks as we seek Jesus through the Gospel, in Sunday school and in our own lives outside the walls of IPC.
Since the fall, 26 high school students have been seeking Jesus in their own lives. We will recognize these confirmands during the 11 am service Sunday. This is an incredibly important moment in their lives as Christians. They’ve been meeting with their dedicated Covenant Partners and attending classes to learn about our faith, our Presbyterian traditions and to strengthen their relationship with God. They will profess their faith, claiming it as their own on Sunday. Please come to worship to continue upholding a promise we as a church community made to them at their baptisms.
If you are looking for a way to be the hands and feet of Christ this Lenten Season, consider donating to the IPC Food Pantry. As you may have noticed, a list of weekly needs is listed further down in each eUpdate. What you may not know is that we’ve increased the number of people being assisted by the Food Pantry each week from 24 families to 30. To meet the need, we need at least an additional 150 items each month. Please read the note from the Pantry Partners and considering donating.
See you Sunday!
