Children’s Chapel (Kindergarten – Second Grade)
During the 11:00 worship service, all children in kindergarten, first, and second grade can attend Children’s Chapel each Sunday. This special service follows the lectionary schedule used in our worship service and includes a sermon from one of our pastors or staff, related scripture readings, an offering, and communion, all of which are presented on a level of understanding for this age group. Children should attend worship in the Sanctuary with their families and then at the appropriate time follow the acolyte through he Parlor doors to the Chapel.

Older Elementary (Fourth – Sixth Grade)
One class is provided for each age level and each class is staffed with a team of teachers. Children are assigned to a classroom based on grade in school.

Third Grade: room 113   Worship Skills    Third graders will participate in a nine-month worship readiness Sunday school class. This class will help them further understand what it means to worship. They will learn more about the different parts of worship and the sacraments.  Throughout the year, as they are in worship, the children will often use a worksheet. This is a part of the curriculum that has them learning about worship as they participate.
Fourth Grade: room 112   The fourth grade Sunday school curriculum, “I Know My Bible,” starts at the beginning of the Bible and follows through to the end highlighting scripture stories in the old and new testaments.  They will learn throughout the year how to find scriptures and how to use their Bibles.
The fourth graders attend a Bible retreat in the fall to learn how to use their Bibles and then receive a gift Bible from the congregation at a special service in the fall.

Fifth Grade: room 108   Walk With Me

Sixth Grade: room 107
The fifth and sixth grade Sunday school curriculum, “Walk With Me”, is designed to grow faith, encourage the children to live out their faith, and build community through caring and having fun together.
