Centering Prayer offers a means to deepen one’s prayer life by learning to “rest in God.” This is a contemporary presentation of an ancient discipline of Christian Prayer as silent communication with God beyond concepts, words, and images.
Centering Prayer is a method of prayer that focuses on deepening our relationship with the living Christ through interior silence. It facilitates a movement from more active modes of prayer into a receptive prayer of resting in God. Centering Prayer is meant to enrich and complement other forms of prayer, not to exclude or replace them.
Centering Prayer meets weekly on Wednesday nights at 5:00pm on the ground floor in the Congregational Ministries area.
