Counseling Associates

The Rev. Dr. Richard E. Pyburn is one of our counseling associates. His professional affiliations include: Fellow - American Association of Pastoral Counselors; Licensed Professional Counselor (State of Alabama) Certified Supervisor Ordained Minister, Presbytery of Sheppards & Lapsley, Presbyterian Church, U.S.A.

He has a B.A. from Baylor University in Psychology and Religion; a B.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; Clinical Pastoral Education training at Central State Hospital, Anchorage, KY; S.T.D. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; Advanced Clinical Pastoral Education, Baptist Medical Centers, Birmingham; Post Doctoral Supervision in Transactional Analysis and Gestalt Therapy; Post Doctoral Supervision in Marriage and Family Therapy; Post Doctoral Supervision in Pastoral Counseling; Post Doctoral Supervision of Supervision.

Dr. Kenneth J. Wade is one of our counseling associates. His professional credentials include licensure by the State of Alabama for both the practice Counseling and the practice of Marriage and Family Therapy. He holds Clinical Membership in The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and has been designated a Clinical Supervisor.

His earned his B.S. in Psychology and his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Alabama. He also earned a Master of Divinity at Drew University in Madison, N.J. He has post doctoral training in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Before entering the private practice of counseling, he was Assistant Professor in the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine.
